Noterva
Effective 17 July 2026. Privacy policy for Noterva Assistant — Summarize, Explain, Translate on Chrome, Edge and other Chromium browsers.
This extension does its work in your browser. We collect no personal data, run no analytics or ad trackers, load no remote code, and never sell data to anyone.
You select a passage and ask it to summarize, explain or translate. In the free co-pilot mode it prepares a prompt and opens your chosen AI website for you to paste into — nothing is sent to us. In the optional on-screen AI mode, using your own API keys, the selected text is sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you configured (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or Groq) under that provider’s terms.
Your API keys are stored only in your browser and are never sent to Noterva. In free mode no selected text is sent to us or any provider by the extension.
No browsing history, no page content beyond what a feature needs, no personal identity, no analytics or telemetry.
Local data stays in your browser until you clear it or uninstall. Server-side we keep only your license record (and, for Reference Manager sync, your library) while your account is active. You may ask to view or delete any data we hold, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act. Transfers use HTTPS; the extension contains no secrets.
